Support our work

We're a small charity that exists thanks to the goodwill and generosity of our members and funders.  We are always delighted to receive offers of support, whether practical or financial. Any support we receive is used directly to support our education programme or to benefit our members.

There are many ways you can help us in our work. We are also interested in hearing from like-minded organisations who wish to work with us.

Become a member.  Membership of the Association is open to anyone with a personal connection or educational interest in the Holocaust.  We currently have around 70 members, all of whom are either Holocaust survivors, relatives of survivors or individuals who have an interest in Holocaust education, including concentration camp and ghetto survivors, former slave labourers, Kindertransport and hidden children, pre-war refugees and second generation children of survivors.

Become a volunteer.  We have a small team of dedicated and much-appreciated volunteers who handle the administration of our speaker programme and provide pastoral support and friendship to members. The time involved is up to you: we value all offers of help. Contact us if you'd like to know more.

Book a speaker. Our speakers are passionate about raising awareness of the Holocaust and spreading their message of hope and tolerance.  In return we ask for a discretionary donation to support our work.  Why not book a speaker for your group? You can download a speaker request form from the About Us page.

Help us with fundraising.  We've had a diverse range of fundraising events in the past, from parties and socials to formal events. Pupils at one school even fundraised their own donation to bring a speaker into their school.  Why not challenge your pupils to do the same?

Give a donation. Any donations, small or large, are much appreciated and will help to further our educational aims.  Send a message via our contact form or email us for information on how you can make the most of your donation through the gift aid scheme.

Work with us. We are always keen to hear from like minded organisations whose aims and values are in tune with ours.  In the past we've worked with a diverse range of organisations including Kirklees Community History, the Refugee Council and the British Library.  If you think we could work together and are interested in exploring joint projects or funding applications, please get in touch. We'd be delighted to talk to you.
