Val Ginsburg

Story

Introduction

Val grew up in Lithuania and was imprisoned in the Kaunas ghetto in 1941 before being transported to Dachau in 1944 to work as a slave labourer. He was the only member of his family to survive. Shortly after liberation Val met his future wife Ibi, another survivor, and they came to the UK to start a new life. You can watch Val giving his testimony on the Survivor Stories section of the website.
