Barry Anysz is one of the Association's volunteer speakers and is willing to visit schools and other organisations to talk about his family's experiences during the Holocaust. His family records and copies of photographs are held at the Special Collections Dept at the University of Leeds. There is an extensive collection of original letters and postcards detailing the deteriorating political situation in Germany and his grandmother Elsbeth's efforts to leave Germany with her niece before it was too late. Sadly both Barry's grandmother and her niece Steffi were transported to Auschwitz in January 1943.
