Holocaust Heritage & Learning Centre update, August 2017

We were delighted to welcome survivor Iby Knill to see progress with our new Holocaust Heritage and Learning Centre at the University of Huddersfield.  Iby visited to see progress with the building work and is pictured here with site manager Greg Brinkworth and oral historian Dr Tracy Craggs.

Civil engineering contractor Harry Faircloughs Construction have been working on campus to create the space for our new exhibition to be installed at Quayside, in the heart of the university campus and close to the award-winning Heritage Quay archive service where our collection will be located.  Our director Emma King is hard at work behind the scenes to plan the design and content of our exhibition, supported by exhibition designers PLB, which will be based on our archive of more than 70 individual Holocaust survivors' stories.  Emma talks about the Centre and her new role in an interview in the August issue of JLife magazine

We recently welcomed two new members of staff: Jayne Leach joined us from Goole Academy as our new Learning & Volunteering Manager, and Nikki Fahey joined as our new Administrative Officer. Jayne and Nikki are settling into our office at the University of Huddersfield and getting to know the Association, our members and partners.
