The Holocaust: Sustaining the Legacy
Sustaining the Legacy is our new project funded through a two-year grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund.
Through this project we aim to:
- Recruit, train and support a new generation of 30 volunteer speakers to carry the legacy forward
- Secure the living testimony of survivors through further filmed interviews with survivors who have not previously spoken out about their experiences
- Create a training package that can be used to support future sustainability
- Create an information pack and new online learning resources for schools and community groups
- Digitise newly discovered information and evidence of survivor concentration camp records
- Develop our website, providing electronic access to important archive materials secured by survivors from the German archives at Bad Arolsen
- Reach a wider cross section of people to encourage them to use the materials and testimonies to improve their understanding of the relevance of the Holocaust for today
- Engage with a more diverse range of partners.
